About Me

Ron Meginbir
My interest has always been in photography starting out with point and shoot cameras. However when I began to travel the world a SLR was necessary as I started by taking coloured slides. I had a Yashika TL back in the seventies and used it extensively in my travels to Indonesia and India. My main focus was in travelogue type photos that could be put up on the screen for viewing audiences. After having spent many years living in the Philippines I am now back in Canada living on beautiful Vancouver Island. There is no end to the photographic possibilities and love nothing better than to hike into the woods or around the seashore looking for photos to take. I use an Olympus E510 and generally use my 300m for many shots.
